The tiled stove is difficult to ignite

By

A tiled stove can be a bit slow to start up. First, try to keep the door ajar when you light the fire. If things do not get better, you can also have a window or a door ajar at start-up. The reason why the stove is difficult to start is usually high underpressure in the home.

Many people install a DraftBooster (start-up fan) on the chimney if they encounter problems with underpressure. If you have a fresh air connection from the outside, make sure that the ventilation grille is not blocked or that the fresh air hose does not have any kinks.

How long does it take to start the stove so that it keeps warm for 24 hours?

From a cold stove, full power (4kW) is achieved after 2.5 to 3 hours, but already after about 20 minutes you can feel the heat on the side of the stove.  By adding a total of 11 kg of wood in two to three rounds, the heat lasts over 24 hours, provided that the damper is pushed in when only live coals remain. Note that the damper must not be pushed fully in as long as there are blue flames that spread after stirring the live coals.
