No, there is no smoke at all. With air supplied directly to the tiled stove, this problem often disappears. If you have high underpressure in the house, it may be a good idea to slightly open the door while the fire is catching.
The tiled stove is normally easy to light. A lit fire with fine chopped dry wood and a lit cushion on top is all you need. If it is still warm from the previous day, it will be even faster to start.
